Joe Baubonis, Jr. - Company President

Joe has over 35 years experience in the special event industry and holds a Bachelors Degree in Marketing from the University of Wisconsin at La Crosse. Joe began working in the family FUN business as a boy, helping his father pack boxes of prizes used at school fun fairs and area festivals. His responsibilities grew as he did. Today Joe is the president and day-to-day leader of Fun Events Inc. The company is still family-owned and has become the largest supplier in the Midwest of in-school gift shops. He takes pride in the quality and reputation built carefully along the way. His Dad, Joe Sr., can still be found delivering holiday shop reorders at the holiday time.

Paula Kappes - School Events Manager

Paula is a PTO Mom and school marketing representative for Fun Events Inc. She became acquainted with our holiday shop gift program at her children’s elementary school. Their positive experience influenced her to join our company in 2002 as our primary marketing contact for schools. Paula’s background includes a B.A. degree in PR/marketing at Ball State University, Muncie, IN, and an M.B.A. degree at Northwestern University, Chicago. She has experienced first-hand the challenges of running fundraising programs at schools while holding full-time and part-time jobs. You’ll hear a lot from her during the holiday gift shop season.

Erin Glider - Customer Service Manager

Erin started working at Fun Events as a summer intern in 2002 while attending college. Once she graduated from the University of Wisconsin – Madison with a bachelor’s degree in business, she signed on for full-time FUN! Today Erin Leads Fun Events’ customer service initiative, and her passion for people makes her a perfect fit. She places a high value on Fun Events’ every day commitment to ensure that quality and service exceed customer expectations. Today, Erin is still thrilled to be a part of the Fun Events team.




Chris Atkinson Bio Photo

Chris Atkinson - Operations and Technology Manager

Chris started at Fun in 2003 as an event team leader, and 2 years later Chris was promoted to the Warehouse Operations Manager. Today, Chris manages the design of all Fun Events Inc. websites and online operations, and oversees our scanner checkout technology. During the busy events seasons you may also see him as your event supervisor or holiday shop delivery driver. Chris enjoys working with customers to help ensure the overall success of their events.
